It’s Been awhile
Getting back into the swing of things after a hiatus. Recently I took a trip to Seattle to recenter myself and refocus. heres everything I got into…
Sorry for the inconsistency folks, life was life-ing kinda hard along with some background planning and some necessary changes that needed to be made along the way.
With that being said we are back on for our regular weekly blog content.
I recently had the opportunity to visit my friends in Seattle, two of them were getting married and I wouldn’t miss that for the world. Both of them are into cars as well so I took the opportunity to not only shoot their special day but also snap a few photos of their cars during my stay. The vibes were there and mood was high it was a much needed trip after two really difficult months for me, it was nice to get away recharge and reground myself. It had been almost a year since Ive been back to visit and a year since I lost 2 friends from out there in two separate accidents almost immediately after getting home. It was really good seeing all my friends from there.
During my stay I also made it out to a Namsayin meet as I usually do when they are going on. I am happy to report they are still going strong and just as big as ever. They did their monthly cruise and this time ended at a restaurant near the Southgate mall to help support the local business. the cruise was amazing as they always are and the meet had some very beautiful unique rides. I love seeing the community come together the way they do out there. I love seeing different types of cars the blending of cultures between the muscle cars and JDM cars and how we can all come together for a shared love for cars. It was so good seeing my Namsayin homies and to catch up with them. If you love cars or if you live in the PNW check out their meets and events. IG: @namsayin
I can’t wait for my next trip back out there to see all the homies. I love the photos and videos I get out there the mountains and moodyness the PNW offers. This trip was very necessary for me I needed it to fill a void and to recenter myself before heading into the winter season. This winter will be a time of preparation and building for the future and for next season.
Like always please reachout viw email coyote@codenamecoyote.com if you have any comments, questions or concerns, Until next week familia.
St Louis
I recently took a trip to see some racing down in St. Louis. check out the blog about my thoughts on the city, the food, the culture and my recap of the racing I seen while I was down there.
This past weekend I made a trip out to St. Louis to watch some races. My journey was filled with high-octane drag racing, jaw-dropping drift racing, and even a bit of classic American baseball, along with some unforgettable BBQ. Here’s a rundown of my action-packed weekend.
We left on Friday, St. Louis is about a four hour drive from Chicago. After packing the truck we hit the road with some tunes and good vibes. It didn’t feel like a 4 hour drive unless you paid attention to the vast expansiveness of flat and fertile farm land that makes up the great state of Illinois.
As soon as we arrived in St. Louis right on our way to the hotel I pleaded to see the Arch we made a quick pitstop at the arch and I got a few flicks and checked out the waterfront area as well. Then we dropped our stuff off at the hotel then went back to Illinois to the Track (World Wide Technology Raceway is located in Madison, IL just across the Mississippi from St. Louis), The air was thick with the smell of burning rubber and high-octane fuel, a scent that every automotive enthusiast knows and loves. Some people were doing test and tunes, and some people were doing daily drags.
My Focus was on the drifting that was going on at the drift pad that was set up at the track. Drifting is a perfect blend of speed, control, and style, and the drivers in St. Louis did not disappoint. The drivers were pushing their cars to the limit, sliding through turns with precision and grace, and occasionally eating a traffic cone or two.
The smoke, the noise, and the sheer skill on display were mesmerizing. I found myself constantly on the move, trying to capture the perfect shot of cars in mid-drift, tires smoking and engines roaring. The combination of fast-paced action and the beautiful St. Louis Arch in the backdrop made for some unforgettable memories.
WWTR Is a Huge track that hosts, NASCAR, Indycar, Formula D and way more large scale events but when they aren’t hosting those events they are open for daily drags and drifting and the occasional car show as well. They have tons of parking, event more amenities including games, restaurants, and a bar area. definitely a place to come back and visit in the future. It was a beautiful track, very clean and modern. We left the track around midnight and headed to the hotel to call it a night.
Saturday Morning I had some breakfast hit the pool super early then snuck out to snag some photos of St. Louis. The city seemed dead which was a stark contrast from the night before, all night I heard cars zooming down the street, people talking and having a good time. In the morning it was a barren wasteland I may have seen 10 people at most which is a drastic difference of what I would have seen in Chicago during the same time frame. The blend of modern architecture and historic buildings gave the city a unique charm. I also visited the Delmar Loop, a vibrant neighborhood filled with eclectic shops, restaurants, and street art. Each corner of the city offered something new and exciting, from the bustling markets to the serene parks. I got my photos in seen a few sights then got ready for a Cubs Game.
No trip to St. Louis would be complete without experiencing a Cubs and Cardinals game. The historic rivalry between these two teams added an extra layer of excitement to the game. The atmosphere was electric, with fans passionately cheering for their teams. It was a close match, but the Cardinals managed to pull off a win, much to the delight of the home crowd, and a little bit of trash talking by me.
After the game we grabbed some BBQ from Pappy’s, which was the highest rated BBQ I could find on every list. The food network rated their ribs to be the best in the entire US. I got to try some of their ribs and man lemme tell you they were the best I ever Had, also their corn on the Cob was fire.
Afterwards we headed back to the track for Race night. With my camera in hand, I captured the raw energy and intensity of the races. The burst of speed as the cars launched off the line, the blur of color as they raced down the strip, and the triumphant faces of the drivers made for some stunning shots. The highlight of the evening was a 4 way battle between a Camaro, a Mustang, and two Chargers. The drag racing event was a spectacle of speed and precision. Each race was a testament to the power and engineering behind these incredible machines.
My Thoughts on St. Louis as a whole is the city seems dead but has a good soul that just needs a makeover. there isn’t much going on and even less inhabitants it appeared, but there are a few beautiful places. Union station was amazing and fun, The Arch park is gorgeous, their excitement for their soccer team and The unique City museum was cool as well. Busch stadium and the surrounding area is nice. The Architecture of St Louis and its blend of Modern and Classic is beautiful, I especially loved the old style buildings including their court house. The people I had the opportunity to interact with were all very nice and inviting well mannered and hospitable even the individuals suffering from homelessness.
My weekend in St. Louis was an unforgettable adventure. The thrill of the races, the excitement of the baseball game, and the charm of the city itself made for an incredible experience. As I drove back to Chicago, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to capture such amazing moments and to be part of the vibrant culture that defines St. Louis.
If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly recommend immersing yourself in the diverse events and attractions the city has to offer. And of course, don’t forget to bring your camera—you never know when you’ll capture the perfect shot. Check out Union Station, The city Museum, go to a ball game, eat at Pappy’s and Chris’ at the docket and most importantly go check out World Wide Technology Raceway.

Creators Day
I had the opportunity to join other creatives for a special meet designed for creatives to connect and create together. click on the blog to read more.
Ever wondered what it feels like to be surrounded by like-minded enthusiasts? Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a Creatives only meet, a haven for car enthusiasts and content creators like myself. Here’s a rundown of my unforgettable experience.
Fausto Razzetti (IG @faustorazzetti) held a Creatives only meet, inviting all the local Illinois creatives to come out connect and shoot some unique cars. This was a very intimate meet designed for creatives to be able to shoot some unique cars in a setting unlike a car meet where we normally have to battle crowds and tight quarters. This was a great way to set cars the way we would on a normal photo shoot and also have the ability for some to shoot cars they normally wouldn’t have access to. This was held July 3rd at Busse Woods which was a perfect day and backdrop for content creation.
It was great to be able to connect with people I have only interacted with online or meet for the first time. I am a very social person and being able to connect with other car creatives is important to me. Being able to bounce ideas and just share stories while we do what we collectively love was special. The vibes were definitely great and it was amazing to connecting with everyone.
Fausto enlisted the help of Rex of Chitown exotic car group to get a few members to bring their cars out. There was two Corvette C8’s, Lamborghini Huracan STO, Audi A4, 1957 Chevy Snub nose, a couple Civics, a Lamborghini Gallardo, and more. I brought along my Canon R6mkii with my 24-70mm F2 lens, with my Polar pro Peter Mckinnon CPL/VND filter. I also had my car mount and my gimbal as well. I was able to get some photos and videos in.
Although I didn’t shoot much, I managed to get a few shots in. I was so caught up in the connections and conversations I forgot to get more shots in.
I think this event was great and would love to attend more events like this. I give this a 10/10, shout out to Fausto for hosting this and for Rex for helping with the cars. Overall, this event had a great turn out with lots of creatives and even more valuable connections.
I want to personally thank everyone who came out from the creatives to the car owners. Thank you all for the great conversations and thank you to Fausto for setting this all up.

Supercar weekend
Back to Back Supercar shows this past weekend along with multiple meets had left me exhausted. read more to see what I was up to this past weekend.
What A weekend to remember, I went to back to back supercar shows and they were more than worth it. Saturday I went to the Chitown Exotic Car Group show at Sonny Acre Farms in West Chicago. Then Sunday I went to Chicago Autoclub West Supercar Sunday event in Oak Brook. To say I’m exhaused would be a massive understatement. Oh did I forget to mention that I also went and took some photos and filmed some rollers on some new equiptment I got as well. Let’s break down this weekend and see what I got into…
Saturday started off bright and early in Barrington at this farm we use to shoot at. I wanted to dial in some new equipment I got (more on that later). I met a few friends at shot some photos and video, after we went to CECG’s Supercars on the Farm event at Sonny Acre farms in West Chicago, filming rollers on our way there. we arrived shortly after the start time of the event and it was already packed. The event was a huge success, tons of cars and even more people. This was one of the best representations of the car community here in Illinois. Definitely an event you wouldn’t want to miss. This event was free to the public and had multiple sponsors with their various booths/stands it was nice to see that, there was quite a few cars in attendance of varying background from Supercars, to JDM cars and classic American cars. Bravo to the event organizers I seriously give this event a 9/10, my only area of opportunity was parking for both show cars and event goers was a little rough, otherwise great job and great event,
After the event me and my friends went to grab some food locally at a restaurant called Augustino's Rock & Roll Deli and Grill. The food was decent Id give it a 7/10 I ate a Chicken Cesar wrap and loved that it came with a salad as well. It was a blistering Hot day and we all were already cooked from being out since the morning. We ate had a few laughs before filming some more rollers on our way to the next event.
After lunch me and my friends went to a meet in Addison called JDM vs Domestic. I’m not sure who the host was but it was at Blue line bar and grill it started off as a pretty cool event they had 2 Djs playing food and drinks were available and they had a raffle as well. there was a good turnout and packed their small lot pretty quickly which then overflowed into a neighboring lot and Forrest preserve lot. There was a good selection of cars here as well and things were going good until people started acting like complete idiots. It quickly became somewhat of a takeover as people began doing pulls and burnouts on the street in front of the event then eventually donuts and street drifting behavior began which is unfortunate because it was going good until all that happened thankfully no one got hurt but then a fight almost broke out. The police came deep to try to calm the situation of reckless driving and behavior that’s around the time I went to Strats. I’d give this event a 5/10 things were great until it started to become a takeover, luckily they got it under control eventually.
Sunday for me started off early I was selected to shoot photos for the Supercar Sunday event in Oakbrook Hosted by Chicago Autoclub West. I took my little brother with me to help me film some Behind the scenes stuff and to hang out. The weather was better than Saturday it was much cooler and tolerable. We arrived early to the event and I shot photos of cars rolling into the event and setting up. I did photos, video, drone and more at the event. We had a great time and chatted with a few vendors as well. I got to see quite a few cars and the event was also packed. the setting was a very nice hotel in Oak Brook it had very scenic views. The vibes were there and the place was packed with people and cars. There was quite a bit of shade at this event which helped with the heat that was very nice. I’d give this event a 7/10 it was packed there was tons of cars and things were great this was another example of how beautiful the car culture is here in Illinois. the only negative situation that occurred was there was a few reckless drivers causing some issues trying to race on the street next to the event.
After leaving the Supercar Sunday event I took my brother home and ate some lunch before heading out to Cermack Plaza for a lowrider meet in Berwyn. the meet had waves of being packed and empty there was a lot of beautiful lowriders in attendance. Id give this meet a 6/10 there was a decent ammount of cars and we eventually went on a cruise with the lowriders and I filmed some rollers.

TunerFest ‘24
My take on Tunerfest 2024. Pleanty of cars, vendors, and food to go with all the fun had.
How can you describe Tunerfest ‘24 in three words, Hot weather, Hot cars and Hot food.
after a 2 year hiatus I was afforded the opportunity to come to tunerfest on a media pass and the event did no disappoint. There was a great turnout for the event which included, food trucks, 2 DJ’s multiple vendor booths, and a nice collection of cars. The nice thing about Tunerfest is that you can almost gurantee a good turnout and different types of builds. I saw everything from your standard 240z drift build all the way up to a custom off road Jeep grand Cherokee. This was my first time back in about 2 years (as I was living in Seattle). I will say there was alot more vendors and food trucks than I remember from years past. I thoroughly enjoyed knowing I had all those options.
This year Tunerfest occured on a Saturday the weather was perfect for the event at a temp of 85 on the nice sunny day. I had the opportunity to chat with some creative friends during my time at the event. Shout out to Don Arness (@donnieclicks), Jay Franklin (@weezy_mafia), and Efren Dorado (_elite.media_) for chopping it up with me for a bit.
Overall I’d give the event a 7/10 the only thing holding back the event was attendance. there was a lot of cool cars there but compared to past events I’ve gone to by them it was about half the attendance Ive seen. This is still an event I recommend to attend and they have one lined up for August I believe, Check their Instagram for more details on that @stancedownlow .
Below you will find an image gallery of all the photos I took during the event. I wanted to give you a taste of the overall look and feel of the event including vendors.
as always if you have any advice or would like to see somthing specific on the Blog or site send me an Email @ coyote@codenamecoyote.com or DM me on Instagram @codenamecoyote as always stay classy car friends.
Missed opportunity
Wild crazy week but a fun one nonetheless. From quince photos, to various carmeets and shows, read for more about my adventures.
I know I missed a week on the blog, this past weekend we celebrated my daughters Quinceanera. Between the party and other obstacles I didn’t have the time to get to a blog this week. I know there will be (albeit rare) instances where life’s schedule will prevent me from getting the blog updated.
Last weekend (6/8-6/9) was crazy for me it started on Saturday morning when I shot photos for the quince. I skipped the CCP charity car show to get this important work done. I had multiple people reach out to me asking if I had gone or why I missed it. multiple conversations about missing out on seeing the 1 of 1 Mansory Bugatti and other incredible vehicles. My answer every time was, nothing is more important than my kids. I cant get this time back, time is the most valuable thing on earth and my girls only experience their 15 once. After I shot the photos I ended up going to other meets that day anyways.
After shooting the photos for my daughters, I went to the Carexpo car show in Elgin where I was a event photographer. The event was great it had really good sponsors, octoprint, Mundo Autos, CM3 car detailing, and No Manches resturants. The turnout was great, Mundoauto had some of their cars present for the event, No manches had their food truck out serving great food. CM3 and Octoprint hosted the event, Octoprint was making shirts for the event which was really cool. There was other vendors and a DJ present which kept the vibes up. The only thing holding back the event was rain luckily it didn’t rain till later into the event but it rained through the end of the event. Luckily the event hosts were able to pivot and bring the crowd inside the shop to present trophy’s, My good friend John winning best show car. Check out the photos below. with the rain lasting through the night I stayed home and opted to edit photos. check out the photos from the event below;

Sunday was a packed day I started my day at Crown customs, then went to Harper College for the Fully Drivn meet, After I went to a Midwest Bimmerfest meet, and finally me and some friends tested out a DJI Osmo pocket and shot some late rollers after dinner.
CACW x Crown customs meet was to be expected lots of mixed cars from Super cars, to muscle cars, to imports. The meet was packed which was to be expected. Every meet they host has a great turnout with lots of good variety in cars and quality builds. definitely my suggestion if your looking to attend a meet.
I linked up with my friends at the Crown customs meet and we headed to the Fully Drivn meet at Harper College. The Fully Drivn meets are another one I would suggest attending because they are always packed and a great time. Their meets are another one with alot of variety as well. Me and my friends came in pretty deep at around 30 cars total, so many cars in fact that they had to open a secondary lot to house us and more cars that came.
I was supposed to go to the Pull up to the Prison car show after the Fully Drivn event but I ended up staying too long and getting lunch as well and I missed the event altogether. another Missed opportunity, Lucky for me they will be doing one more show later in the season that I will make it out to.
After Leaving the Fully Drivn meet I went to Midwest Bimmer fest. This meet started off slow and they were the most picky when it came to which cars could park where which was a bummer, but understandable since it was a BMW centered meet. They held it at Social club bar they had a DJ and food available. The meet ended up growing a bit but it was definitely the lowest attendance meet I went to in the last few weeks, the vibe of the meet wasn’t there either, and I think part of the issue was the small lot space and layout, I mostly went to hang out with some friends. After we left we went to dinner and then shot a few rollers while testing out the new Osmo Pocket 3.

Making a difference
Wonderlake Charity Car show hosted by infinity Repair and Performance. check out how the show went and more.
one of the best feelings you can have it giving back. Whether it’s through community work, charitable donations, or just giving a helping hand to a friend in need. The only event I was able to make it to this weekend was to a Charity car show hosted by the good people at Infinity Repair and Performance in Wonderlake.
Josh the Owner of Infinity Repair and Performance is a great guy, good specialty technician and always willing to help out. He started this event a few years ago and has been growing it ever since. This year he broke an attendance record. This years event is to raise money for the Wonderlake Food pantry and for Community improvement. Working closely with local leadership he shut down most of Hancock dr for the event. The event had multiple vendors out in attendance including Racetime Sims who had a few racing simulators out which were awesome they even move with you as you drive in the game giving you a full immersive experience. A few of the event sponsors included Northwest cruise group, Tuffshed, Racetime sims, Vindictive Vinyl, Renegade towing, and East End Pizza and ice cream.
If you need any work done to your car or looking to add some power hit up Josh at Infinity Repair and Performance. They are located at: A and B, 2713 E Wonder Lake Rd, Wonder Lake, IL 60097 or give them a call at (815) 653-1749.
If your looking to try out the racing simulators or want to try out some VR games/activities check out Racetime Sims located at: 810 Front St D, McHenry, IL 60050 check out their website at racetimesim.com
There was some very interesting builds in attendance as well check out the gallery for some of the cars in the show.
As always thank you for reading and send me any comments, reccomendations or any improvements you would like to see at Coyote@codenamecoyote.com until next week stay classy car people.
Lowriders and Lambos
Memorial day weekend is a long weekend but the weather cut this weekend short. I still managed to get in a shoot and four car meets in the span of two days. checkout more in the blog.
Another week has come and gone and another exciting weekend of capturing moments has passed. This past weekend was no different. With this being Memorial day weekend it was a long one. Friday was rained out which caused a lot of events to cancel. Saturday was perfect weather for car meets which I went to a few. Sunday was entirely thunderstorms which caused a bunch of events to be canceled or rescheduled. Luckily for some of us Sunday cleared up later in the day, I took full advantage and went to a meet. All in all it was an exciting weekend for activities.
Saturday I started the day off hanging out with some friends and helping with a shoot they were on capturing how they capture content with a new rig they have. We filmed a camera car taking roller photos of one of the 916 media Camera cars. Using a BMW M3 to shoot roller photos is a perfect camera car. we met up with some other friends and shot their cars as well including a Porsche and a Audi.
After the shoot most of us went over to check out the Euro Car meet in Barrington. There was a huge turnout for the meet tons of Porsches, Lambos, BMWs and more in attendance. A few cars caught my eye while there including a beat up Volkswagen Bettle, and a old Audi Coupe GT. The two cars that stole the show would be the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Lamborghini STO both beautiful and incredible vehicles. The meet was great no issues all positive vibes and tons of cars. The community was out in full force fostering great connections and even better conversation.
After I left the Euro meet I went to Glennview to Chicago Auto Pros north side location. They host a monthly meet that alternates between their two locations and it always attracts a crowd. It’s nice to get out and check out their shops and the work they do. They are known for their car detailing along with their wraps, They also do window tints, and Paintless dent repair. The meet was nice but its hard to park at the Glennview location the layout is tricky but they made it work. They had a taco vendor and free drinks on site which was really cool and much appreciated. There was a beautiful Camaro rustomod in attendance that I couldn’t take my eye off of.
I went and had a late lunch after the Chicago Autopros meet before heading to the StayILL meet in Geneva at Rookies bar and Grill. The meet was last min pushed a day early due to the incoming weather expected for Sunday. I myself didn’t even know that there was a meet. I went and there was still a decent turnout even with it being pushed a day early. I saw a great mix of cars including a really nice Green NSX and a Big tire Big Turbo Mustang with a Chute. This was a great day for meets no issues no drama and all vibes. me and my friends took some photos and hung out and even grabbed some food at Rookies as well. after eating and as the meet winded down we snuck in a photoshoot with the sunset.
Sunday was a crazy day weather wise, It thunder-stormed most of the morning and most people just stayed home expecting not to be able to get out and do some fun car related things. Then an unexpected thing occurred the skies cleared and the sun came out and it was nice outside again. I hit up a friend who was at a Lowrider car show that was held at the Stevenson Convention center and asked if the show promoters were still planning on doing the Hop competition. Once I got the all clear I made my way over to Carmina’s resturant in Elgin to check out the hop competition. It was a slow start but almost all at once everyone showed up and they got the party started. I saw some really cool lowriders including a Cheech and Chong inspired ride and the Mini truck that won its class at the Car show. The hoppers got to hopping and surprisingly only 1 car broke a part and all competitors got to jump.
All in all this was a great weekend even with the weather messing with all the plans we had in place. Luckily the two car shows I was supposed to shoot at are both going to still happen. Auto Infinity Performance and repair charity car show is going on this Sunday 6/2/24 from 12-5 in Wonderlake, IL. Ill be there supporting the Charity along with some of my friends, come check out the show and get free photos from me at the event. The other show I was supposed to shoot this past weekend was Supercar Sunday from Chicago Autoclub West. That event has been rescheduled for 6/30/24 at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook from 10-3pm. You Definitely don’t want to miss that show there is always a huge turnout and tons of cool super cars to check out, plus that show also benefits charity as well. I’ll be there covering the event come say hi and get some photos by me as well.
Thank you again for all of your support I genuinely appreciate it. I’m always looking for feedback if you have anything you would like to say or anything you would like to see on my site or blog feel free to drop me an email at coyote@codenamecoyote.com Until next week stay fast everyone!
Pizza and Porsches
Another week another set of adventures to tell the tale of. This week was a CACW meet along with a photoshoot I did then some fun with the kids for the weekend.
What a Weekend Friday was spent designing, prepping some new merch and developing content. Saturday I went to a Chicago Auto Club West Cars and Coffee event in the morning then I had a photoshoot after. Sunday I spent with my kiddos having fun at Legoland.
Saturdays CACW cars and Coffee event was a nice change of pace I got to see some of the classic muscle cars that some of the members have. I got there right when it started and stayed for about 2 hours before leaving to my photoshoot. There was some really nice cars there but the ones that stole the show for me was a Supercharged Chevy Nova with a Parachute, a Yellow Pantera, and a Track built Slant nose Porsche. Check out some photos from this weekends meet. as always I have an amazing time at the CACW events and highly recommend attending their events.
After the CACW meet I went and helped a friend with a video, then shot some Muscle cars, a C7 Z06 Corvette and a Dodge ScatPack. The cars were matching to the owners personalities and were just as colorful as well. I took these pony cars to a stable I know about and thought it was a fitting backdrop for all that horsepower.
Sunday I missed another great event, CACW had an event hosted by Crown Customs and their events are always special. I had some friends go to that event and tell me how cool it is to see the Crown Shop and their work plus the cars that came to the meet were amazing quality builds as well. I traded cars for Kids which will always be my #1 choice. I took my oldest to her Quince practice then me and my middle child and son went to Legoland as a pre-birthday fun for my son. he had a blast and it was cool to experience Legoland for the first time. I will say for the price of admission it isn’t worth it unless you have a couple little kids with you aged 7-11 at most. Legoland is definitely a one and done attraction for me.
As always thank you for reading Please email or DM me anything you’d like to see on the blog or any commments, questions or concerns at coyote@codenamecoyote.com until next week stay classy car people!
super cars and coffee
slow week car wise but made the best of it with two short meets. Friday at Beef Villa in South Elgin and Saturday at Chicago Car Collective in Chicago for a CACW meet.
This was one of my slowest weeks yet. I only briefly went to two meets due to some family obligations and mothers day, so I made them count. Friday I stopped by Beef Villa in South Elgin to say hi to some friends and check out their weekly meet then Saturday I went to the Chicago Auto Club West x Chicago Car Collective meet.
Every Friday the Beef Villa in South Elgin hosts a cruise night. This week was no different, I stopped by to say hi to some friends while getting food for my kids and its always nice to see the hot-rods out and about still kicking the tires. I shot a few photos and talked to a few of the old timers about their cars and how they’ve been able to hold onto their cars for so long.
Saturday Morning Was cars and coffee time. Unfortunately I had a full schedule Saturday so I had a small window for car stuff. I decided to attend the CACW meet at Chicago Car Collective. I knew they have a very cool collection of member cars from seeing their Instagram and a few YouTube videos. some of their member cars were outside in attendance. I came right when the meet started and unfortunately left around 11am just as more cars were arriving. The meet space was great which is always a concern in Chicago having space to host a meet. The location also offers some cool backdrops for photos as well. There was quite a collection of various cars in attendance including some ferrari’s, a GT40, and even a Rolls Royce Cullen. Every meet that CACW hosts is unique and definitely worth the trip to go to. If your looking for vehicle storage I would highly recommend Chicago Car Collective they have a large secure facility that even has a really cool members lounge that over looks the cars.
Thank you for reading, Please reach out with any advice or comments on what you would like to see on the blog next, Coyote@codenamecoyote.com Until next week keep adding miles and memories to your life.
Viclas and Car meets
Another week another round of car meets, This week was special because I went to a Biker charity run and man those bikes were special.
Another week another post… and this week was a little different I only went out Saturday. I went ot A CACW meet then a Metal Milital meet at the Detail Outfit, but what really stood out was I hung out with some bikers on a charity run.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit the Chicago Auto Club west meet hosted at the Sta-Bil brands warehouse in conjunction with 303 detail products. Their warehouse on Kildare in Chicago is somthing special. they have a good sized lot along with some decent auxiliary parking. It was nice connecting with the brands and learning about what they do and the products they offer. They also and some representatives from NASCAR talking about this summers Street Race event. all in all it was a great experience there was a lot of good cars and a good mix of cars in attendance, from classic American cars, to JDM grail’s, to Newer Kit cars, even the brands had some of their sponsored vehicles out in attendance.
After I left the CACW meet I went to the Detail Outfit for the Metal Militia meet since it was very close by. This meet was very light in attendance but then again I came somewhat earlier so I cant fault them for that. it was also a beautiful Saturday with a ton of scheduled events to attend. I left early because I was going to a charity run with some bikers.
After Leaving the Metal Militia meet I caught up with my step dad and his Motorcycle club to go on a charity run for a fellow biker. We met at their clubs, club house then rode to Chicago to meet the other clubs going on the run. I was not expecting the attendance that came and was blow away from all the bikes and all the details that went into them. Most of their bikes were works of art similar to that of low riders. Viclas on Viclas on Viclas I was AMAZED and glad I came it was alot of fun. After we left the meet spot we headed to hickory hills to Tequlia Mucho a restaurant and bar and they kept the party going. The inside of that place was awesome they have a really cool aesthetic.
Sunday was a holiday in my Culture, Im Greek and this year our Easter fell in 5/5 which coincidentally was also Cinco de Mayo. My kids are half Mexican and Half Greek, so a double holiday for them. I spent Sunday with family and reflecting on what matters most in this world to me my kids. We celebrated our culture and taught our traditions to ensure they were passed down and continue to live on through my children.
Thank you as always for reading and supporting my work. until next week Ill catch you out at the meets!!!

Hypercars and packed days.
Another weekend another update. This weekend was packed with super and hyper cars from CACW meets to Metal militia, come see what I got into this weekend.
Another week another weekend of packed events. I had the opportunity to go to a few car meets and to my daughters culture show at her school this weekend and they did not disappoint. Friday I went to the Culture show for my daughter and hung out with my kiddos, Saturday I went to 7 different car events, and Sunday I went to one car event,
Friday started off getting some work done and finalizing some edits for some client work I did. later in the day I went to my daughters Culture show at her high school as part of her school club. She really amazed me with her dancing skills as they performed various Mexican cultural dances along with other Hispanic and Latin dances as well.
Saturday I had a fully packed day scheduled I started off my day at the Chicago Auto Club West event in Carol Stream, That event did not disappoint (much like most of their events). The Hamilton Collection brought out 4 of their cars but the focus of the show was their newly delivered Rimac Nevera. It was amazing to see in person and that purple popped so much on the car. If your not familiar with the Nevera it’s the worlds fastest production car hosting a record breaking 0-60 of 1.7 sec as well as breaking 22 other world records. The Hamilton collection also brought out their Mclaren Senna, Mclaren 765LT, and their Lamborghini Urus. there was a ton of other supercars and exotics in attendance as well. I managed to get a few shots of a lot of the cars and the crowds.
After I left the CACW meet I went to Rad Rides meet in Bartlett and that meet was really cool because it was focused on period cars from the 80’s and 90’s they had Vipers, Deloreans, 90’s JDM cars like Skylines, RX7’s and more.
Saturday I had the opportunity to be apart of a Make-A-Wish car parade. It feels good to be able to give back and brighten up the lives of children. We met with some low riders and the Chicago Polaris Slingshot club. They took the kids on rides and gifted the make-a-wish kid a remote controlled low rider (It’s as cool as it sounds). After Leaving the Make-a-wish parade I went back to Carol stream to go to a Metal Militia meet and cruise from Carol Stream to Addison. After Portillo’s I went to meet some friends at Strat’s in Villa park, we ended the night at Brauerhaus before heading home,
Sunday started off rainy but I still managed to make it to the CACW meet at The Garage store in Dundee. they have a great location they had a DJ and most importantly they fed us too. we packed their lot and surrounding lots for the meet, it was a great attendance even on a rainy day.
Im quickly realizing which meets I want to continue to attend based on the hosts of the meets. Ive been having good luck with specific hosts. So far the meets ive enjoyed going to have been hosted by The Detail outfit, Metal Militia, CACW, Lexus society, Strats, and a few more. I know I’ll continue to go to these meets as they pop up, if you see me out there come say hi. As always if you have any questions, comments, or advice feel free to email me at coyote@codenamecoyote.com I look forward to seeing you all out there this weekend. come back next week for an update.
Outfit Chicago
As April is coming to a close and May is on the horizon we are slowly seeing an increase in car meets popping up. Strats, Metal Militia, The Outfit and more are hosting more and more meets signaling summer is upon us.
Man oh man oh man what a weekend… I tend to go out and do car related things every other weekend. This weekend I had the opportunity to get a a little bit even though it was a by-weekend for me.
Friday I went to my friends normal meet up spot Strats in Villa Park. I got there around 7 and there was a few rednecks in their pickup trucks and trump flags hanging out there. As soon as 8:30 rolled around the lot was packed more regular traffic than anything worth while. Some cool cars did tend to roll in around 9:30 groups of BMWs, AMGs, and some Muscle cars doing the mary-go-round looking for parking (the biggest enemy of Strats).
Saturday morning I was free and wanted to check out the Metal Militia meet at The Chicago Outfit. Ive been to their location on Racine in Pilsen. Their shop is such a beautiful unique location, the brick walls and wood floors are perfect backdrops for shooting photos and video. They have cool mopeds and other unique features like whisky barrels and leather chairs that just add to the space. The only downside to the location is there is limited parking inside the building along with limited parking outside. All in all I really enjoy going to meets at their location especially to shoot. If your local to the area I definitely suggest checking out one of their meets sometime.
Strat’s seems to be the new Coffeehaus ever since Schaumburg PD shut down the ability to host any car related events in the township at all. Don’t get me wrong Strats has always been a thing but with fewer and fewer places to host weekly consecutive meets its grown in popularity and is now at risk as well. It’s apparent that Villa park PD is not happy with the meets happening there and it doesn’t help that idiots wanting to show off have to do dumb stuff when leaving causing more issues. If this keeps up the car community will die not having anywhere for people to go they will just give up or reside to adding to takeover culture since that seems to be the only other outlet.

Track day
long weekend with photo shoots, trackdays and much more.
This past weekend I have a full schedule on my hands from going to a meet on Thursday to the track on Sunday and everything in between. The weekend started off on Thursday where I met a few friends for a random meet as well as some time in Mexico.
Saturday on the other hand started off doing some photos and video rollers with some friends on a farm in Barrington. we shot a Porsche, two F80 M3 BMWs a few bikes and a Hellcat. after that meet we went and got some tacos from Thlaco Taco in Hanover park, IL the tacos were fire you should try them sometime. After Lunch I met some friends at Strats for the Chicago INC season opener. The cars they have were all beautiful builds old skools, Donks, lowriders, classic muscle cars, just real beauties. Then there was our group of modern mopars just parked up with them, I got some photos and video while I was there then headed over to Carol Stream for the Lexus society meet. That meet was Packed, good time and great company. I saw a purple C8 vette, a gen 2 viper and a ton of other cool cars. My favorite photo I shot of the day was of these two FRS/BRZ’s in a Pink and Lavender color schemes. After the Lexus meet I meet some friends to hang out and view some Mexico action and I can say there are some really fast cars out here this season.
Sunday was spent at the track. Greaklakes Dragway the oldest continuous drag strip in the world (their words not mine) they had a $22 deal to race. I cruised up there with some friends and caught a few cool races.

midwest spring
March week 3 was great outside of the roller coaster weather we had. I Attended 3 meets and this is what I saw…
Man oh man oh man. Midwest spring is upon us in a major way. some call it false summer where the weather will go from 30 and cloudy to 70 and sunny to 10 and snowing in one day. This weekend was no exception, we went from 70 degrees on Wednesday to 30 degrees on Sunday and man it was Frigid.
Saturday I went to two meets, one hosted by The Detail outfit in Chicago at their detail garage. If you haven’t been to their shop yet you should absolutely go its definitely worth it. Their space is beautiful and perfect for taking photos at. They hosted a JDM day and there was some true legend cars in attendance including 2 NSX’s, a GTR and a MK4 Supra. I went relatively early for this 10am meet so it wasn’t packed by any-means but friends that attended after I left early said it was a good turnout. The other meet I went to was hosted by Aspire it was at Portillo’s in Deerfield. This meet was packed and everyone was well behaved. Deerfield police were present but they allowed us to do our thing in a respectful manner. There was about 150 cars in attendance, all good builds for the most part (other than some regular traffic that rolled in as a group blasting music). I would definitely recommend attending any of their future events at the Detail outfit or for Aspire.
Sunday I braved the cold to attend a Metal Militia Motor Club car meet at Xsport Fitness in Carol Stream. The wind was the worst part that made the day so much colder. The meet had a good turn out and for the most part was well behaved (outside of some revving here and there early on). Carol stream PD was on site early in the meet but eventually left and let us have our fun. I guess there was also a cruise set up that wasn’t communicated so in a mad scramble some people ended up at Strat’s in Villa Park rather than Portillo’s in Addison as intended. Luckily for us the weather is taking a turn and this week marks the official first day of spring. we should see more stable weather moving forward.
All in all it was a great weekend full of things to do and plenty of cars to see. Its exciting to see whats to come for the summer ahead. so much talk of more meets, bigger meets and trackdays. I cant wait for more consistent warm weather. stay tuned more to come- Until Next Week!!
Fresh start
Record breaking heat in early march kicks of the season with meets popping up all around Illinois. here is my recounts of what I saw and my feelings of the season to come.
This past weekend was a record breaker weather wise reaching 75 in the Chicagoland area. Car meets popped up left and right and I had the opportunity to go to a few and here are my perspectives on the meets and what to expect for the season ahead.
On Friday night I went to a meet in Elgin that was popped about 30 minutes into the start of the meet. It as held in a great location and in conjunction with a local business but EPD wasn’t having it. the meet was held at Brew & Bubble on Randall rd. I was there for about 5 min couldn’t even park before EPD shut it down. The meet was hosted by Automotomadness, Unlisted, Discrete Mafia, and DTF. I’m sure it didn’t help that some knuckle heads on dirtbikes were dicking around (they were the worst) or the usual dummies revving their Infinities and 350z’s and don’t get me started on the idiots driving around recklessly or sitting on the windows while they drove reminiscent of takeover culture building.I get it everyone was excited it was finally hot out and felt like summer was coming, they wanted to party and have a good time but there’s a right place right time for everything. I will say the meet was definitely growing and would have been a very large meet, It’s a shame too because there was some nice cars out there and ALOT of variety. We left Elgin and ended up at the usual meet spot Strats in Villa Park, per usual it was packed and hard to find parking otherwise a chill spot to be at. One highlight of the night was someone brought out their Back to the Future inspired DMC Delorean build.
Saturday started off hand washing the car and made some content for my IG. After I went and shot some photos. I ran into the media team from Rohana wheels it was great meeting them and catching up, they were driving the libertywalk Mclaren and it looked amazing with the skyline as the backdrop check their IG for updates. After my shoot I met up with some friends and went on a cruise, and edited everything I shot for the day.
Sunday… Sunday there was a meet at Starts the day started off great we over packed the parking lot at Strats it was a great meet and a great day. The Rohana team was present with their R34 GTR (Pictured below) the corvette club of Illinois came out in full force as well, there was even a Huracan which was nice to see. I grabbed some hotdogs and cheese fries from starts before heading to see some races in Mexico. After the races I went to a night meet in Lincolnshire that meet was also chill and had a decent attendance its just kinda far north for most people but the lot is great and it didn’t get shut down so that’s a win in my book,
All in all this past weekend was great the weather came through with the win for everyone it was great cruising around and catching back up with everyone. If this weekend was an indication of what to expect for the season then this will be a great season yes there will be busted meets and dummies as their usually are but there will also be good car shows, good meet, great races and track events and most importantly great company.
Building an empire
Flexing my Graphic design and creative muscles.
I’ve been spending my time recently building this Website, Creating Graphics and templates, Creating content schedules and outlines, Creating future products for the web store, and Spending time with my kids.
Its been a long week and it isn’t even Friday yet.
I have a few updates. Below you will find some graphics I have recently created this week. Furthermore I am working on a way for the website to have some automated features to schedule a photo/video shoot with me (More to come). I have been building out the foundation for a Youtube channel that I plan on having released within the next month or so. I have ordered some sample products for the webstore and as soon as I make a final decision on a brand partner I will open the webstore.
The below graphics are playful spin offs of some Legacy brands we all know and love. These brands inspired me in many ways and I wanted to pay homage to them. From my favorite baseball team to the toys I played with as kid. This was an exercise in flexing my creative muscles and Graphic design skills. let me know what you think and if your interested in more content like this.
I will be starting to schedule Spring through fall photography sessions if you would like to schedule with me please shoot me an email at coyote@codenamecoyote.com until we have the site automation up.
If you have any suggestions to make the site better or content you would like to see moving forward please feel free to email me at coyote@codenamecoyote.com.
Thank you all and I look forward to having more updates for you next week!!!!
